Paul Kapinos leads Moser’s highly successful Baltimore, Maryland office. He joined forces with Moser in 2012 to build a regional practice serving the federal government clients. As Area Director, Paul provides project management, strategic planning,and business analysis for the Baltimore office, which he quickly grew to a team of 40 IT professionals capable of serving the large and complex needs of the federal government.
Building a successful IT consulting business was nothing new for Paul. He had gained a deep expertise and knowledge of the IT industry working his way up from a helpdesk technician to his present position over the past 28 years. And, during that time, he built his own successful IT consulting company with a staff of 15 and annual revenues of $15 million.
After about five years, philosophical differences between he and his partner regarding how to run the company led Paul to sell his interest in the business and seek new challenges in his career. And, it didn’t take long. Soon after leaving his company, Paul found a new opportunity to provide IT consulting services for all of the Training Quality Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the Department of Health and Human Services. When it became clear that he was going to win the contract, he decided to partner with Moser Consulting, and together, they opened the Baltimore practice.
While Paul’s main area of technical expertise is in Unix system administration and development, he now spends most of his time focusing on engagement and managing his team to provide high-level IT consulting to Moser’s government clients and many of the companies that support them. Paul is well known in the IT industry, especially in the government sector, for getting the job done, no matter what it takes. His ability to take the problem out of his clients’ hands and hand them back a solution has made him successful in his own career and continues to help his clients achieve greater success as well.
