Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Moser Consulting believes in equal opportunity for all people and is committed to enabling a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. We foster a spirit of unity that respects the remarkable individuality of everyone's culture and history.

Moser has taken actions to ensure all aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion are addressed for all employees through 5 streams: supplier and partner diversity, training for our workforce, pay and job equity, intentional discussions in the tech community, and peer outreach to underserved youth.

Each year, we review our partnerships and vendors relationships to ensure we support minority-owned businesses and supplier diversity. We focus on including women, veteran, and minority-owned businesses in our partner and vendor relationships.

We have always supported diversity in technology and we believe in pay equity for equal job positions. We review market analysis reports concerning fair pay for positions and keep up with market trends.

To help train our workforce on inclusion, we offer unintentional bias training to our workforce to identify the unconscious biases that may exist inside each person, affecting our behaviors, relationships, performance, and engagement. Interrupting those patterns is a skill that everyone can learn. We also offer this training to other companies as a part of our Learning Practice.

Starting open discussions about these topics is the best way to keep progress going. Moser has used its podcast, ASCII Anything, to have discussions about diversity topics in the tech community. Our episode with Dr. Carlotta Berry talked about a lack of minority students in STEM education channels. Our episode with Debbie Schilling reviewed her career as a woman in technology and talked about how things have, and have not, changed.

We also maintain many local partnerships with schools and community organizations to attract minority and disadvantaged groups to technology careers. At George Washington, Metropolitan, and Cathedral High Schools our tech people share expertise with students about application development, infrastructure management, system support, and other technology jobs; and at Eleven Fifty academy our board members help build out curriculum and do mock interviews. We also continue to provide internships to high school and university students.
